How old do I need to be to rent a car?

You need to be at least 21 years old to rent a car with us.

What documents do I need to rent a car?

You will typically need a valid driver’s license, a credit card in your name, and some form of identification like a passport or government-issued ID.

Can I rent a car with a debit card?

We accept debit cards, but we might place a hold on funds in your account.

Is insurance included with my rental?

Rental cars often come with the minimum state liability insurance, but it may need to purchase additional coverage insurance for added protection. 

Can I add an additional driver to my rental agreement?

Yes, we required you to add additional drivers.  Extra fee may apply. The additional driver must meet the company’s requirements.

Can I return the car to a different location than where I picked it up?

Yes, cars can be return to a different location than the pick up one as long as is within city limits of Miami. Additional fees may apply.

Where is the rental car pickup and return location?

Pick up and return location depends in your choice.

What documents do I need for pickup?

What's the fuel policy for returning the car?

Rental cars usually come with a full tank of gas, and you are expected to return it with a full tank. We offer the option to prepay for fuel at a set price.

What should I do if I have an accident or the car breaks down?

In the event of an accident, contact the rental company and local authorities. If the car breaks down, reach out to the rental company’s roadside assistance.

What is SunPass, and how does it work with rental cars?

SunPass is an electronic toll collection system in Florida.Our rental cars come equipped with SunPass transponders to make toll payments more convenient. It’s important to understand how it works and that it is not included with your rental.

Do I need to pay tolls separately when renting a car with SunPass?

Rental cars with SunPass typically allow for automatic toll payments. Toll charges will be billed to your rental car agreement, and you will be charged the total amount of each toll transaction. No additional fees. 

Can I use my own SunPass account with a rental car that has a transponder?

No, will not be able to use your own account or transponder. This is to avoid double charge from the toll agency.

How are toll charges handled when I return the rental car?

We will typically bill you for toll charges after your rental period, along with any applicable service fees. It’s essential to review your final bill for accuracy. We might not receive notice for several months as every toll agency has a different billing cycle. Due to these differences, you could receive a toll reimbursement request up to 90 days after a trip has ended. Note: If you fail to pay a toll within the allotted time frame, you may be responsible for collection charge.

What happens if I accidentally go through a toll without a SunPass transponder or paying in cash?

If you accidentally go through a toll without payment, you may receive a toll violation notice. Be sure to address these notices promptly to avoid additional fees and penalties.

Can I get a breakdown of the toll charges on my rental car bill?

Yes, most rental car companies provide a detailed breakdown of toll charges on your bill, including the date, time, and location of each toll.

Is there a limit on the number of miles I can drive with the rental car?

The renter is given a total mile limit of 250 miles per day unless otherwise agreed to in writing by SPA CARS RENTAL LLC 

How much does it cost for additional miles beyond the included mileage?

Exceeding the given mileage per day will result in a $1.25 per mile fee

What is considered a long-term rental with your company?

We consider a long term rental for period of more than 30 days.
